A friend of mine who is an Occupational Therapist is currently working on his H-1 in Maryland, is planning to move to Virginia and file for his GC on his own. His current employers informed him to hire an attorney. The attorney fee is around $7,500 for this type of case (half when they begin and half when the LC is approved).
Q1. He would like to do the GC on his own. Has any one does this before in this profession either in Maryland or Virginia?
Q2. Any experiences you can share good/bad or pitfalls to look out far?
