Self and Spouse I485 filed concurrently, only mine approved - Please advise

I had filed for my I140/485 and my spouse's 485 concurrently.

My 140/485 were approved concurrently, however, it's been a week and I haven't seen my wife's 485 approval.

Has anyone experienced this situation, if yes, how long did you have to wait before the spouse's 485 was approved? Also, did you have to initiate an inquiry with the INS?

Please comment.

I am in the same situation like you. Both by I140 and I485 were approved on 21Jan 2005 but so far I have not yet received my wife's I485 approval. I spoke to the USCIS customer service this morning. They told me to wait at least 30 days from Jan 21 before I can enquire about her case.
 
Well thanks to your replies, at least this isn't a secluded case. It seems quite routine, since I learnt from my lawyer it can take from 2-6 weeks. Please post back if you see progress in this matter.

Also, please let us know what the RFE is regarding.
 
same thing
my wife approved in Dec 30 2004, and i'm still waiting
we submit 485 together in Aug. 2002, my lawyer said it takes 4-6 weeks may be double security checking, but i saw cases in this forum still waiting for more than 3 months ???????

I have just received an EMAIL from USCIS stating that an RFE has been sent on feb 2nd 2005 regarding my wife I485.
 
do tell us what the RFE is regarding. I see that your 485 was approved on 21st Jan 05, mine was approved on 24th Jan, 05. I hope to receive a RFE soon in that case.

Same here. I applied concurrently and my 140 & 485 got approved on feb 2 2005 but my wife's 485 is still pending. My wife submitted all her medicals and we did attach marriage certificate and her birth certicate too. ( Her last name is different from mine) but still not approved. Not sure what it could be and also how many days does it normally take to get her 485 approved.

I140/I485 got approved on Feb 02 2005 (myself)
I485(wife) - Pending.
 
My wife's RFE was about marriage cert. We provided the copy before also. Anyway I am planning to send a better copy this time with an affidavit from her brother stating that he was present at the marriage. Hope that will work. Still waiting for the affidavit to come.

I too received an RFE on my wife's 485 case. I think it would be safe to assume that they need a marriage certificate in my case as well (although I did send one earlier).

140 AD : 07-Sep-2004
FP for both of us : Dec-18-2004
My 485 AD : Jan-19-2005, wife's 485 status still says "Finger prints received on Dec-22,2004 ..blah..blah..blah...".
What's happening..??? Why this painful last moments...???
God, save all of us!!!!
 
there are lots of us in the same boat- it is very painful and scary because none of us would want to stay here without spouse, so approval means nothing unless it is for both. We can only take heart that we will all get through this soon and that we are not alone.

Congrats. So it took like 3 weeks to get your spouse 485 approval after yours. If you don't mind, could you tell if you both had same last name in the applications, because me and my wife have different last names in application.

My wife RFE is to get Criminal Background clearance from the Police Station since her fringer prints (Taken twice were both rejected by FBI as they did not come clear enough for the FBI to read them ).
 
Folks,

My spouse's I-485 RFE is to provide as many documents as possible to represent a bona-fide marriage. Any ideas?

We don't have a rental agreement in our names, but how about these:

Credit card bills in our individual names but at the same address.
Letter from the bank stating the existence of a joint account
Letter from the medical insurance company stating the primary and dependent.
Copy of the marriage certificate.

Anything else you can help add?

Appreciate your responses.
 
u can add a notarised affidavit from ur relative stating that he/she was present at the marriage.
