Selective Services

I am about to send my N-400. I have a question on Selective services since I am a newbie. I entered USA on H1 after 26 years. So, my understanding is that I don't have to worry about registration or getting a status letter from Selective services. Can someone please confirm? Appreciate your help

If you didn't come to the US until age 26, and then you were on H1B for presumably 2-3 years, you really don't need a status letter.

My situation was similar - first came to US on H1B at age 29, so no need for the letter. Wasn't asked for one during interview, but never expected to be either.
