Hi.
I Am 27 Yrs Old Male.
I Will Have An Interview On 25th Oct.thursday At Albany,ny.
I Tried To Register Online For Selective Service But I Couldnt Register Because It Showed Me That You Are 27 Yrs Old And U Cant Register.
Today I Called The Selective Service And The Lady Asked All The Information And Finally Told Me That Now You Are Registered,but It Will Take 3-5 Days To Get The Mail To You.
So She Gave Me The Selective Service No.
So My Question Is That Is It Ok With That Number If Io Asked About It Because I Dont Have Any Document Proof.
And I Didnt Know Anything About Selective Service When I Entered In The Usa.
I Just Found Out When I Got My Il And Then I Tried To Register Online But I Couldnt.
So Is It Gonna Have Any Problem In My Interview??

Of Course. You Are Only Required To Register Between The Ages Of 18 And 25.

And I Didnt Know Anything About Selective Service When I Entered In The Usa.

When Did You Enter The USA? Have You Been In Status The Entire Time? You May Not Need To Register For Selective Service. I Did Not.

Yup, you're likely to have a problem because it sounds very much like you weren't registered when you needed to be (i.e. while living in US as an LPR between ages of 18 to 26). What you need now is a Status Information Letter and a very understanding IO.

Looking on the bright side, even if you get denied now, you can reapply once you reach 31yrs age, because that puts the failure to register outside the "good behavior & attachment to constitution" 5yr window.
