Hi guys!
Congrats to all who were selected this year! I'm so excited to say that I've been selected for further processing! I'm from Australia and my case number is 2013OC0000098*
My account was only just activated, which I bet is why many other people haven't posted about being selected yet.
I have a few questions that I'd love to get some help with and can hopefully help some other people too!

I've got my DSP-122 & DS-230 (Parts I & II) forms almost ready to send away.

I'm sorry if some of these questions are silly - I'm just being a little paranoid and meticulous to make sure everything is filled out correctly..
1. Rank Order Number (Case Number on Envelope) Do I put the whole case number thing like 2013OC0000098* or do I just put 98*?
2. Is it correct that I do not sign the 122 or 230 forms now?
3. Should I find an address now for Question 11 on DS-230 (Address in the United States where you want your Permanent Resident Card mailed..) or do I just need to give one at my interview? If yes, do I just get a post box or something?
4. My most important question, as my number is 98*, what do you guys think the odds are of me getting an interview? If I'm understanding correctly, all case numbers will become current in June?? So that means everyone should have an interview? Or am I missing something?
5. Is it going to be a problem in my interview (if I get an interview..) that I haven't travelled to America before? Should I consider going for a trip to make my case stronger?
6. I've read a lot on here that in Sydney people haven't been asked for proof of funds, but I would obviously like to have enough to feel more confident in my case. How much do you think I'd need to have?
7. When/if I get notified of my interview date, when is the best time to get medicals/x rays/police checks done? I know most of these are valid for only 6 months and also need to be valid at POE. I live 5 hours from Sydney (where there are doctors qualified on the website to give these medicals) so would it be too unsafe to schedule a medical a day or two before my interview? Or should I allow more time in case there is something wrong?

Thank you all SO SO much for any help, it means a lot.
Michelle

You will find all the answers on this forum if you search. You can leave address blank for now but you will need one at the interview. You will get an interview. There's never been a year in the history of the DV lottery that all 55,000 visas were exhausted, so the case number is only important in terms of how long you have to wait. Undoubtedly, you'll be checking the Visa Bulletin every month.
As for taking a trip to the US? No. All you need to do is to satisfy the explicit requirements. No one ever gets rejected for an arbitrary reason.

Michelle,

I had interview in Sydney. First, your number is very low - you will be in the first lot of interviews, later this year (September, maybe).

You put whole rank number on form. No problems if you haven't been to USA before. You cannot use PO Box as address (leave it blank for now).

I was not asked about roof of funds in interview. I have not heard of anyone at Sydney interview being asked of proof of funds. It is of cause always safer to have the funds, but you won't need it. The amount is usually $20k for family.

Goto http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/visa_4756.html and read through process carefully - step 3 explains medical records etc...They have a list of authorized Drs. that can do the medicals (only those doctors are allowed to do them). Police records in Australia are valid for 1 year. However, your visa will only have 6 months valid entry period. If you got your police records, etc... done soon it is likely, given your low rank number, that you will still have more than 6 months left on your records by the time you have your interview. Hence, I would go get the medicals etc in next month or 2.

Thank you very much for your help tevolo!
My number is low?! I thought it was high for Oceania. It's 2013OC0000098*. Not just 2013OC00000098?

Oops!, your right. I thought it was 98, not 98*. Your number is very close to ours. We had our interview in April this year. Hence, your interview will likely be in April 2013. In this case, you can wait on police records, etc... until next year.

congratulations mushy11!!!
Just a point to note, the regions that are current for June 2012 relate to the DV lottery selectees from the DV2012 lottery.
As your case num begins with 2013...... you will not be interviewed before Oct 1st 2012, as the Fiscal year for your lottery selection runs from Oct 1st 2012 to 30th Sept 2013.
hope that makes sense
