Seeking Some Information for First Time Landing

I have to travel next week to Canada from Boston, MA for First time Landing. What address for "port of Entry'' in Ontario Province should I give to get the direction from Mapquest or Mapblast?

What is the nearest economical city from port Of Entry where I can stay for one or two days?

Whether I can apply for SIN Card and open the account in the city suggested by you or I have to go to Toronto to complete these formalities?

When I am carrying Cashier's Check, Do I have to open the account in the Bank there? I don't have any intention to move to Canada in near future unless it is required.

What are the economical Hotels/Motels I should search for? My budget is 50 - 75 Canadian $.

Please post your experiences of your first time landing immigration process (travelling, accomodation, necessary documents to be filled out). I too am planning to land in the Ontario province.
