Hello everyone,
I am currently in the US under H1-B from October 2007 to September 2013. In the meantime my employer has applied for my green card and I have an Approved I-140 with priority date of March 7, 2008.
But I am in EB-2 category, which is backed up to February 2005 currently. God only knows if or when I will be able to file for I-485.
I want to change my job, provided I can find another employer to sponsor my H1-B.
Here is my question(s):
If I change employer, what happens to my current/ ongoing green card application?
Do I have to start from scratch? If that is the case, I will slide back at least 3 years in the backlog and getting a green card will be even more delayed.
Any advice? Anyone?
