Hi,

Following is the information on my case.
Appln: EB3
LC: June 08 2001 (PD)
EAD Received: August 21 2004
I140 Approval: Feb 2005
FP: April 08 2005
LUD:April 20 2005 (finger printing results).
LUD:May 06 2005
LUD:May 23 2005 (Approx)
RFE:June 06 2005 (Want W2 for 2004 and letter from employer)
RFE:Send on June 27 2005.

I have got a reply from the immg. as below.

we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 365 and 540 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

I really donot understand this reply. Does it mean that my Security clearance/ Name check etc. is done?

Please let me your thoughts.

No, sir. you have a long way to go. If you are lucky, you can go though name checking easily within 6 months. If not, maybe 2 or 3 years. I have been waiting for 9 months after i saw the same notice like yours.

Is your PD current? and I485 notice date before Dec 1 2004?

My PD is not Current it is Jun-08-2001, but my I485 application date is Aug -13- 2004.

Hi gotyaji,

I guess you are in the same boat as others. PD being current is the key, where are Out of Processing time yes I guess there are tons of them :mad:

With every 5-6 Months of inching for being current that is anywhere in the range of Jan 2001 and Jun 2001 you are looking at another 5-6 Months easily.

I am sure anything that says background check and Security clerance has to do with case being current or VISA # being available :(
