Security Clearance???

I contacted the senator regarding my case. He got back a reply from the VSC indicating that my Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status (Form I-485) is still pending final standard security clearance and unfortunately, U.S.C.I.S. is unable to estimate when processing will be completed.

I checked with FBI regarding name check and it was cleared in Jan 2003. What does this mean...can anyone give some advice...thanks

Can you please send the details of how you contacted FBI to get info on u'r case?

In same boat - stuck in standard security clearance

it seems that i m stuck in same boat - 'stuck in standard security clearance' ... has anything happend to your cases ..? any further insights... it seems that this thread was originally started in june 2004 .. so i was wondering if sth has moved.
 
I sent a fax to FBI regarding my name check and they sent me a reply by email indicating my name check was completed way back in Jan 2003. I contacted VSC and they informed me that my case is pending FP scheduling..But I dont understand..I am getting the same reply for the last 8 months...
 
CIA check

There is a CIA checking beside FBI. It seems CIA checking needs to go aboard.
