Security Clearance or Name checks Ottawa Consulate

Hi guys,
I am permanent resident in canada and applied for US-visitor visa
My sister in US! at the time interview she asked me questions regarding my job! Because my sister in US! so she approved 10Yrs multientry Visa!
But stuck on her computer to accept my visa! and then she refused after 5minutes! She said my name is very common so security check is required!

What are others experiences? How much time this thing gonna take? please respond!

Were you given 212(g)? That is not a refusal. That indicates that the consulate is not ready to make a final decision on the application. In your case, they seem to be waiting for your name check to come back. You need to wait for them to contact you. I know it is easier said than done, but you have no other choice.
