Security Check - Pls Help

Can anyone let me know how to find the status of my security check. Apparently my 2nd finger printing happened in Oct 2003 and since then whenever I contacted my local congressman for status check, BCIS replied that it is waiting on my security clearance. Last month BCIS also told him that it should have been completed but there is nothing they can do :rolleyes: :D

How can I contact FBI or whoever is doing the clearance to check on my case? Is there a number that anyone knows. My concern is that my file is lost somewhere, it is already 7 months in security check.

When does the name check process kick in? Is it checked along with ur finger prints?
So when the online status says that the results of your FP have been received and processing has resumed- does this mean that the results of both FP and name check have been received.
Any ideas??
 
I did my 2FP it didn't get updated on-line for many people it is the same but for some it got updated.I don't know about name check

Security check is DIFFERENT from finger print even though they both are handled by FBI.

do not call this # just out of curiosity, or this # will become useless to those who need it.

How does one know if the case is stuck cos of name check?
 
This is what the congressman office told me. They were informed by BCIS. They do not share this information with the petitioners directly i.e. they will not share with you if you call the useless 1800 number.
