Second FP without Notice?

Hi Guys,

I got my second FP notice. The appointment date is August 03, 04. From the different threads I read, I am sure that I can go early.

My husband, who is derivative applicant, did not receive his FP notice yet. During first FP also, he got his FP done almost 4 months after mine, on his scheduled appointment date.

Can we go together for second FP, even if my husband did not have appointment for his 2nd FP? Has anybody done this before?

Is there any specific time & days I should go to Burien office, Seattle for my early FP?

If I go early, will it speed up my I-485 case?

I hope your husband will get his FP notice soon.
In our case, I received FP notice 3 days after my wife had received her (I am the primary applicant).I think his FP is not yet expired as per INS.I suggest. both of you to go and try for FP together, even if your husband didn't receive the notice. Sorry I am not from Seattle, so cann't say whether they will allow for early FP but nothing harm in trying.

If one closely follow the approval/RFE pattern in rupnet and in this portal, I feel 2nd FP date (the day FBI sends back the results) has some significant affect on getting early RFE or approval
 
Getting FP done earlier than the date mentioned depends on the local office. Since you applied for 3rd EAD, your I-485 would be touched soon. If your FP become current, there is possibility of your 485 getting approved. There is nothing wrong in trying to get your spouse's FP done too. Just talk to the local office. Good luck

We will try to get our second FP together.

Peace_of_mind, my third EAD is approved on 20th of May, 2004. On 3rd AP application, record shows last updated date as June 18. And on 19th I got my second FP notice.

I hope my husband will get his second FP notice soon as his first FP is also expired just like my first FP.

Read you message, what is your theory behid 3EAD & 2FP and approval. I liked it because I did the 2 FP and 3rd EAD last month.

Few days ago, I put out my observation.
There is a group who received RFE before 2nd FP, after the RFE was received by USCIS, if FP is still current they got approved. If FP expired by then, they got their 2nd FP notice. They got approved a little late.

But there is a second set of group which is larger than the first group. This group got 2nd FP notice first. After completing their 2nd FP, only a small set got either RFE or approval notice. my observation was why did only this small set got either RFE or approval. The main reason is, this small set applied for EAD/AP extension. I-485 application would be reviewed before approving EAD, if every security check is current then 485 could be approved as well. (Good way of thinking)

My guess is: Since 2nd FP is an expenduture on USCIS side, they are waiting for the applicant to apply for EAD extension (just to grab the EAD fee $175). If USCIS is sincere enough, they should have returned EAD fee to all the EAD extension applicants who got their 485 approved before EAD ext approved. (may be I guess is wrong)

Final result is, who ever applied for EAD ext and still waiting, their 485 is being approved. Take example of Haasan and CrouchingTiger.

I applied for 3rd EAD in May but didnt get 485 approved

I hoped 3rd EAD would trigger any action on my I 485.. But it didnt. I got my approval this month..

No traction on my case. No 2nd FP.

Peace of mind - Does it matter if the EAD filed is of a derivative applicant or primary applicant? Would they check I485 only for primary & not for derivative?

Sally - are u the primary applicant or a derivative applicant?

I am the primary applicant..

When I came home today, I found myself in the similar situation. My 2nd FP notice had arrived but not my husband's.. We are in Seattle too.. We plan to go there together and see what happens.
 
I am the primary applicant, I received the notice in middle of May and I went for my FP2 today in Detroit. My spouse didn't receive the notice yet and when I asked them if they would do it without notice they said they can't
 
Hi All,

As you know already that I had second FP notice but not my husband. Appointment date was august 3,2004. I am primary applicant.

I went to Burien office, Seattle on saturday around 8.30. I told them that I am going on vacation during the month of August, so, can I take my fingure prints now? He went to ask his supervisor and came back with positive answer. As there were hardly any people there, I was out of the office at 9.05 am.
When I asked about my husband for the same. They told me that they will get his FP done only after he gets his notice.

I hope it helps lots of people who want to take early FP.
