parts of letter for B2 extension
1st extension; excerpt from letter:
....my husband <name, ssn, USC> and I <name, ssn, US PR> would like to have her stay with us for an additional period of 6 months. This would allow us to celebrate the holidays together. My Mother also would like to visit other relatives in <city, state> and travel throughout the United States. She would travel back to <home country> in May 2004.
Due to both my and my husband’s demanding jobs (I am <title, company> my husband is <title, company>, it is very hard for us to find the time to travel to <my home country>. Her staying with us is the only way we can spend time together.
My mother is staying in our <city, state>residence. During her extended stay in the United States, we will bear all her responsibilities including, but not limited to, housing and meals, and travel expenses within the USA, as well as any medical expenses. During her travel withing the United States, she will be staying with relatives and friends. We will personally make sure that she leaves the United States before the expiration of her authorized stay.
2nd extension, excerpt from letter:
...my mother is getting close to 70 and the long hours of overseas travel are becoming very tiring for her. Her staying with us is the only way we can spend an extended time together. Her temporary stay does not have an effect on her residency in <home country>; she has strong ties there (extended family, her own home, pension plan etc.) .......
We are kindly asking you to make an exception with this case and allow my mother to stay for an additional six months.
hope this helps, guys
