Hi Crosshairs,
Thanks for asking. It was a very nice emotional ceremony held at the fisher pavilion at the space needle. You must have seen it on the news on TV. There were 548 oath takers(7 from military/navy) from 78 countries. It was attended by the governor, her husband and daughter, mayor of Seattle, his wife, council members, and bunch of other dignitaries. There were at least about 30 people on the stage. One thing that I think should have been done better was the actual oath taking. The judge asked us all to stand up and raise our right hand, then repeat after him. He should have used very short phrases so everyone could repeat them, but he almost read out whole sentences and most of the people couldn't repeat what he was saying, and people started giggling and smiling. I thought this should have been done more seriously. Other than that, it was a very nice ceremony. I didn't recognize how emotional it could be, until the ceremony started. Thinking back, I am glad I got the 4rth of July oath ceremony. This is an event I will remember forever in my life.
I haven't signed the certificate yet, but I plan on signing it in full cursive to match my sign on the photo. Did you apply for your passport yet? Normal? or expedited?
Congrats seattleliter, so glad it went well for u.
