Is there anyone applying from Seattle? Please share your experience. How long does it take totally? Here is my date:

PD 4/1/05
FP 5/19/05

Yep! I just got citizenship approved. Things that may help expedite the processing.
-Get your fingerprint done, call FBI the next day the see if FP cleared, if rejected (very common), go to DO with infopass, get another FP done. If rejected twice, get police clearance letter, make sure you get clearance from all counties you have lived in the past 5 years. Clearance has to be notorized. In King county, downtown office can give within 2 days, other offices take a week. Cost-$5 to $17 depending on county.
-Check forum, check USCIS processing time, if delayed, contact Congressman's office for help.
-FBI name check is something you don't have much control over. Congressman's office cannot do much to expedite. You can send a letter or email but usually takes 8 weeks to hear response.
Interview is fairly straight forward. If you are in Seattle, if you pass, will get appt for oath ceremony in a week. You can always request for same day swearing in.
Let me know if you have further Qs.

So, if I requested a name change in my application, would a same day swear-in be possible, or will I be waiting to swear in a judicial court?

Please advise

I might drop the name change decision with the interview if doing so delays my oath.

You said I can go and get FP scheduled. How Can I do that?

I applied in march and I have not yet got my FP notice. I went to the USCIS office twice and they say every thing is normal. people who applied after me
got their interview letters. How can I get my FP done. I think the two ppl who I met on Infopass were both dumb shits.

My timeline so far:

N-400 received by USCIS 3/28/05
Fingerprint Notice dated 4/11/05
Fingerprinted 5/13/05
Interview Appointment Notice dated 6/10/05 (received today 6/17)
Appointment Date 7/28/05.

MUCH quicker than anticipated.

Seattle N-400 Timeline

Does anyone from Seattle have any reent experience on how long it is taking to process the N-400 from start to finish?

Mine is as follows:

- N400 Application: August 2005
- FP: October 2005
- Interview Date: ?
- Oath Date: ?

Thanks again.

Couple filing N-400 same time

For couples applying for citizenship at the same time are the interviews held ogether or separate/

So far the FP are at the same schedule.

Appreciate your help...
