School for asylum seeking children

Hello. I am new to this forum and I am hoping to get some advice. I have recently arrived in tthe US on a B2 Visa and my family and I intend to apply for asylum. Our question is we have 2 children of school going age. The asylum process sounds like it can take a while. We were wondering if it is posible to enrol our kids in school while our asylum application is pending. We just don't want them to miss out by not being in school for an indefinite period of time. Does anyone have a similar experience or have any information on this? many thanks.

In the United States every child is eligible, regardless of immigration status, to enroll in secondary or primary school. This is as a result of a decision by the Supreme Court of the United States.
