School evidence/records required?

Hi.

I am 19, and recently submitted my N-400.

I have this question in mind;
When they call me for an interview, will they ask for my school records? Do I have to take them along with other evidences to the interview?

P.S: I am currently a Permanent Resident.

They may. I would just take along a letter from your registar's office proving your enrollment.

They are not going to ask for schooling evidence unless there is reason for them to question your story at the interview. The same goes for them asking you to provide evidence of your previous employers during the last 5 years.

I think that question is designed to just check on what people have been doing during last 5 years and unless you say that you were working for Al Qaida there is nothing to worry. Typically no evidence is asked for but if needed they will indicate in the IL.

If it is easy for you to find the records you might take them along. I don't think they will ask for them unless the IO wants to verify that you spent the time in the U.S. You probably were not filing any taxes so they might want to see some evidence that you were in the country. Anyway, my back of the envelope probability calculator would say that you have less than 10% chance that these records are going to be needed. However, now that you asked you would be beating your head if they ask for this in the interview and you don't have the darn records ;) So you might as well take them with you to the interview.

Take them with you as this is the only concrete method of proving you were continuously resident in the USA for 5 years. Just request your official high school and college transcripts and you should be set.

This way if they ask for proof, you have it right then and there. If not, you keep the transcripts for your records. Being 19, it is hard to prove 5 years residency since you probably didn't work the much and are listed as a dependent on someone's tax returns.
