Hi.. I am applying for NORI and have taken scholership from IISc during my PhD. Should I write in the affidavit that I have taken the scholership or not? Please suggest...
I am not sure but personally I feel if you took schlorship for coming to or staying in or studying in USA you have to mention it. If you did your Ph.D. in india and got schlorship while you were staying in India you don't have to mention it. In the second case, if you mention it then I think you might make your case more complicated.
I have seen case of my friend with CSIR-SRF (Senior Research Fellowship) during Ph.D. and he didn't mention the fellowship during J1 Waiver as he was in India and din't take any money for coming to US.
