Does anyone know when did INS implemented a FP scanning method (versus the old fasion way with ink)? I am just wondering if there was anything to do with removing 15 months expiration on FP??
FP expiration has no connection to the method of acquiring prints. I've been finger-printed twice. Each time by scanning.
FP expiration had to do with their IS/IT policies. The records were deleted after 15 months in their computer system. Recently they modified their hardware/software infrastructure and the new prints (since the update) should not expire.
