I am not sure on NIW cases. If you are current or become current in July then you should see an approval shortly. Hopefully all your security checks are complete.

Interesting to note that you filed your 485 in 2004,where as i filed in Dec 2002 ( PD July 02) and one of the Immi Officer told me I am stuck in background check.. i fear its name check. ( It is said tha NC is initiated shortly aftger submitting 485)

I guess this will be a blow below the belt for me, if i am rotting in NC since 2002!!!!

Cool off guys!! I have been in the US for 7 years now and I used to keep track of US immigration when I was back in home country too (you probably can guess it). I am not going to write elaborate thesis down here on expectations, predictions, blah, blah, and blah.

If you are able to get to this Web site, I am sure you know how to get on to the Internet and check status every month yourself. Here is a Web site that gets you the information and links needed almost on a real-time basis:

Of-course these forums give you a perspective of the zillion situations that are separate from each other, but predictions, expectations and experts' take on movement of dates and/or retrogression?? Give me a break. And yes, I am definitely against State-wise priority dates and labor-substitution that will be stupid things of the past by July 16, 2007.

Better predicted for yourself? What does that mean? If you read the post carefully, I have indicated helplessness as far predictions are concerned in immigration. I don't know about you, but I certainly feel exploited but still alive. I chose to immigrate to US and I am not stupid to follow likes of UN.

I agree with you about UN, nobody knows about the operation of USCIS. By the time you know it, they change the process. It is a waste of time in predicting and analyzing.
