It depends on your situation.
a) Some people have raised the idea that getting early FP
can raise an RFE.
b) On the other hand a few people have done the FP early and
got their approval before the original scheduled FP date with
no RFE.
My situation is that I have been laid off and I want my
green card ASAP so I went early.
If I had a stable job and no prospects of lay-offs, I would
wait till the scheduled date (which is often only a month
after the notice receipt) just in case a) is right.
Now I don\'t think a) is right, but who knows with the
INS.
