San Jose Interview Experience - Passport stamped

First,
I want to acknowledge everyone in this forum. This is a true home for all of us.

Our passports have been stamped today at the San Jose office.

My case is pretty straight forward, except that my company was acquired by a different company and I was promoted. According to the (very nice and kind) officer, the acquisition was the trigger for the interview.

We were called about 15 minutes after the interview time. The officer asked if we brought the lawyer with us (which immediately trigger the though: "we're doomed! this case "demands" a lawyer!).

We were sworn in, and I was asked couple of very simple questions about my company. I handed out the EVL per the officer request which was briefly reviewed. He also asked for birth and marriage certificates, and that was it - he stamped our passports right in front of us.

The officer was very kind, and he made the whole process very relaxed. We even joked a little.

Aall, thank you again, and for those who are still out there: hang on! your approval is right around the corner.

No need for AC21 for the acquisition - the aquiring company is a "successor in interest", and took full responsibility for the company assets and employees.

The lawyer mentioned that the change in my title *may* require AC21, but we made no proactive attempt to send a letter.

The officer did not require any AC21-related evidence.

Thanks
Eran

Hi - was your company being acquired before your I140 approval??

Do you mind posting your EVL (with the confidential info, such as title, salary, etc. crossed out of course).

I am in a similar situation, company being acquired in a "successor of interest" manner, same position, same pay. Just wanted to see how the employment letter should be worded.

Thank you for your help.
