San Jose FP walk-in denied.

Hi All,

Our FP appointment date is on Sept 01st. We have some other work on that day. So we went to finger print last week and the employee over there said they cant' do it and we have to come back on Sept 01.

Is there a catch? we really don't want to reschedule.

The FP notice states that you can go for fingerprinting for the specified date or any following Wednesday for a 3 month period. It may not be a Wednesday for you but your FP will tell you what to do in case you can't make appointment date. There is no need to re-schedule.
 
They are lazy and thinks you want to go ahead of schedule. They did not believe your some other work was more important that theirs. You should have produced some more evedence of the nature of the work.

The FP notice says we need to go on Sept 01. If we can't make it then we need to reschedule for wed/sat afternoon, which we don't want to do.
We are planning to try again this wed afternoon.

Try something like - will be traveling that day(which cannot be rescheduled and you made your plans before you got your FP notice) and show them an eTicket/payment proof. Worked for me at Newark, NJ (btw I was traveling on that day)

An honest reason is what is required. If you intend to just go ahead of everyone else for your own convenience, I would deny you the opportunity to do a walk-in. Can you imagine if everyone would start going on Wed or Saturday afternoon? ASC would be like DMVs, chaos rule the day...
