Not Yet Transfered to BEC !

Guys,

I asked my attorney regarding status on my case. I got a reply that it will be few months to hear from DOL on my case. My case has not yet transferred to BEC. It is in process in SF DOL.

Case details:
PD: Aug-2002
SF RD: Jun-2003
CA - RIR.
DOT Code: 999.151-031

They are currently processing Mar 27 RD and previous cases. :)
 
Can anyone know what is DOT code and how DOL use it.

My DOT Code is 999.151-032 PD with May 2003 PD. I can see in this forum 2002 PD has DOT Code: 999.151-031.

i think it is some sort of category given by CA DOL? Please let me know if any one has knowledge about it.

We havnt heard for a longtime.
 
I mentioned before on may case. I checked with my lawyer and was told my case was still in SFO while everyone was saying their case had been transferred to BEC. I still believe some cases are still in SFL DOL.
BTW, my RD is Aug, 2003

DOT is Dictionary of Occupational Title, basically a code for the type of job that you do. :eek:

999.151-031 is Computer Software Engineers, Applications
999.151-032 is Computer Software Engineers, Systems Software

You can find more DOT Codes from FLCData Center: http://www.flcdatacenter.com/owl.asp - There is a drop down with list of DOT Codes.

But my attorney said, she has got one responce recently (last week) sent about same time with me. But My case need to be assigned to another officer (the original one has been laid off), it may take longer.

Hello GP111, I am back again, need your help!!!

My question is about New Memo on AC21

My labor was approved back in May 04. I thanked you for ALL your help and moved out of DOL thread to 140/485 thread.

However, I have a 50% chance of getting layoffed this Friday. 1/29/05 would be the day my 140/485 is pending for 180 days. My 140 is not approved yet.

What's worse than that is, I just talked to a lawyer, he said only having 140/485 pending for 180 days is not sufficient to use AC21. The new memo (don't know the date of the memo) from BCIS says 140 has to be approved to be able to use AC21. Anybody knows the link to this NEW memo?

If I get layoffed on Friday and I am in six year extension of H-1b, what are the things I can do? I can only think of finding another employer that can sponsor my new 140 application. Is that all I can do?

As far as I know there is only one AC21 memo and it does say that the I-140 must be approved,

In case you do get laid off ask the employer instead of paying you 2 months severance to keep you on the payroll 2 months. In two months your i140 can get approved and you automatically are beyond 180 days limit. Even if I140 is not approved a good lawyer can try to do something about this, though I am not sure.

But if your employer put an eye on your approved labor to sell it to somebody else this may not work.
