San Francisco procedure

Hi everyone,

My husband has applied for the citizenship and his priority date is 07/03/2006. His fingerprinting is done & we are waiting for the interview letter. My question is that, if we check status online, it just says "Your N400 APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was received on July 3, 2006. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates."

What does this means? Is it not updated or they have still not proceeded with the case! I am confused...Should we call them ask for the updates??

Another thing I want to ask is that, if they ask for additional documents to be sent ( like copies of passport, immigration proof etc..) does this delay your immigration process :(

Waiting for interview letter...

Thanks in advance

Website is NOT accurate; CSC-SFO is working like a clock with FP scheduled after 3 weeks; IV letter sent within 4 weeks after FP, and IV scheduled: 60 days after IV letter date

Agree with Vummi. In addition, that is a 'standard' message you will see on their web site. I saw the same message for my case. See my timline below for reference. You should review the thread for San Francisco timeline and that will give you an idea as to how long things are taking at CSC and the SFO DO. Good Luck!

Thanks a lot for the information. Can you explain me what is IV letter?

Thanks!! But can anybody answer about the additional documents requirements. Do this delay the process and by how much time?

Not really. If they were working like a clock I would get my IV letter a long time ago...

Dani:

I gave FP on july 5th, eventhough my scheduled date is 7th july. I completed my interview on Sept 19th and recd the oath letter. After the interview, an officer told me that IVs are being scheduled only after completion of name check.

So my "clock work" write-up above applies for people with instant name check completion. I consider all others, to be getting on and off the fast track depending upon their profile.

Got it. Thanks.
