Does any of you have any idea what the schedule is for 2013 or where to find it? I am trying to find info online but nothing is available.

For what I found usually Ceremonies are scheduled 1 wednesday of the month but still nothing sure which Wedsneday.

Any input is appreciated.

This is a thing I'm not sure. I know some ceremonies are held in the Civic Center.
They are usually Wednesdays. And I think it's usually the 3rd or 4th Wed of the month.

But my upcoming ceremony is in Chula Vista Office and on a Friday. Chula Vista does once
a month on the 4th week's Friday it seems.

I still hear that people have interviews in Downtown too. Not sure if there's a corelation between
the interviewing office and the ceremony place.

One of the threads in this forum mentioned that SD Republican and Democratic parties sometimes list oath dates and times on their websites (in calendar/upcoming events sections) since they generally attend oath ceremonies to help with new citizen voter registration. At the end of last year Republican party's website listed a couple of remaining dates for 2012, but they don't seem to have any listed for 2013 yet. It might be worthwhile checking their websites periodically.

Oath dates for the first three months of the year for SD downtown DO seem to be

01/23/2013
02/20/2013
03/20/2013

The problem is they only cover Downtown ceremonies here. There are
Chula Vista ones as well.

ooooh, That I did not know :(

Any idea of the Chula vista ones? Or what makes you take the oath ceremony in Chula Vista? In my case I live in San Diego and not in Chula vista. But oh well who knows.

So do I, I live in San Diego but my ceremony is in Chula Vista tomorrow. I went to the interview there as well.
I read someone's recent interview experience in Chula Vista and she had her ceremony at Downtown.

Chula Vista ceremonies seem to be at the last week of the month and a Friday.

Last Friday when I took Oath in Chula Vista there have been at least 3 different ceromonies.
A group before us and another after. They said that day was the first oath ceremony date of 2013.
So last Friday of each month it seems at Chula Vista.

Can you give me any info about how the ceremony goes? is it too long? lots of people? any details? I am excited to assist in 2 weeks almost. Just curious on how long does it take from check-in till all is over, as I have to urgently go to the passport agency and apply for the passport. Also how is the check.in process? do they ask you all those questions in the back again? do I need to bring dates of travels? I travel to Mexico almost every other weekend but I did not keep track of the exact dates, how were they with that?

Thanks for any info.

There are a a few cereominies on the same day. People queue up, they take visitors and to be citizens in diffrent parts of the main room. The ceremony takes 1-1,5 hour. Before you enter the line they check your oath letter. And if you have absences you mark it but unless it breaks requirment they do not inquire. They assign you a number and when you get in you go to the table with that number first. They take away your GC and give your naturalization certificate. Youcheck everything is fine on it then be seated. There's a big package of materials in each seat. Then ceremony starts and it takes around an hour. I won't spoil the cermony for you. Enjoy that special day.
