San Bernadino (CA) DO Processing Time

Hey all,

Had my interview about 2 weeks ago in San Bernardino and now I am waiting on my oath letter. Have seen some LA and even OC DO info on here but none from San Bernardino. Wondering if anyone had any info. After successfully passing the interview I asked the IO about how long it might be until I received the oath letter, the reply was that they schedule appointments once they have completed 100 interviews, and that it could take a day, week, month, or even though very unlikely, even a year. Thanks.

1) what is you timeline if you don't mind to post
2) I am from San Diego
3) it shouldn't take them much, they will fill that gap of 100 very soon, apparently there are lots of applicants ready to go.

Yeah, I figured it shouldnt take too long to complete 100 interviews. On the list of the IO that I interviewed with it looked like he had at least 15 interviews that day, multiplied by 4 or 5 IO taking interviews a day, they could probably do 100 in 2 or 3 days. What was a little discouraging is that the IO had a couple of stacks of files sitting near his desk. I hope my file isn't sitting there now.

My timeline- PD 4/19/07, FP 6/20/08, IL 1/23/08, ID 3/15/08, now waiting on oath letter

According to the IO at my interview my appl has taken longer than usual because I forgot to send pictures and a copy of my GC with my N400.

surprized that there are no more San Bernardino DO people
according to LA DO director - San Bernardino is scheduling interviews on weekends

according to June 15 USCIS update SanBernardino is processing DECEMBER 2007

Anybody who can confirm???

We have a friend who went thru Berdoo. She did not remember all dates but gave us the following: Submitted N-400 4/07, ID 3/21/08, OL 6/12/08, OD 7/11/08.

Thanks for the help so far feliz-la. You said that:
"If SB: SB reported on June 15 that they are processing December 07 -if that really means they are sceduling oaths for Dec 07, then March 08 getting ILs could be chronological."

Did u mean that they're scheduling oaths for people that submitted their application in december 07? When do u suspect October 07 applicants will be receiving ILs?

after comparing LA DO June 15 reporting to actual facts coming from people I guessed that they reported date could mean the oath dates.

S.Ber. reports Dec 07 and Santa Ana July 07, but in fact they are sending ILs to March-April 2008, which could have equal chances of being:
1) they really speed up and are done with all cases before March 08, which means everybody between Aug 07 and March 08 should be receiving ILs withing June-July

2) they are processing cases not in order they were received, ignoring backlog and dealing with fresher cases, which is totally unfair and sadly happened a lot in NYC.

I wish USCIS was more predictable and followed their own rules, but in current situation I'd say October 07 S.B. applicants should expect ILs anywhere from June till Aug, and if nothing by September - start preparing WOM (Infopass/letters etc see WOM thread) and file it if nothing was received by 1 year anniversary since PD.

hey does anyone know if it's supposed to update when you get your fingerprinting done and everything? cuz mine still hasn't updated after the finger printing and that was in jan.

online case status seems to be completely ignored by USCIS, so don't take it seriously.

another way to check is to create account at USCIS and add case to portfolio, and I changed my address in January - it is funny and sad that the older 2 of my cases were "touched" and the N400 wasn't - never touched since FP letter was sent out December 4.
