anybody in here has a sample letter i can send to Laguna Niguel service center to follow up I-90 D?

Sept 2006 Green Card approved but last name is misspelled so we called the USCIS hotline several times they told us 3 different service centers to file the I-90 D which is no help at all so we decided to file the I-90 D where the GC came from "Laguna Niguel" and called the USCIS hotline which i think is so useless coz they cant even give a correct answer to a simple question, everytime we call they give us different answers. went to Atlanta to have passport stamped for temporary GC, immigration officer there said she cant even retrieve my file or its not showing up on their system, she said i should receive a letter from filing I-90D...but USCIS hotline call centers told us we will not receive a letter...and another one said we should have received a letter by now.

the situation above is just frustrating because you dont even know who is telling the truth! so i search the net if there are other people with the same case as mine and poof there's plenty of them.

Why do these centers make the same errors over and over again and it is causing their own system to backlog...when infact all your forms are CORRECT. Cant they just do their jobs correctly!!!

I just hate the fact that we cant do anything about it? just sit and moped and wait for another 6 months...not knowing if they received the application or not??? or if they are even processing it? what if come 6 months then they tell you they havent received your application?

---------------- Once you file the form I-90, with supporting documents and cover letter then you will get I-90 filing receipt. I don’t understand what kind of letter you are expecting

---------- why not to file I-90 with certified return reciept and keep copy of each document with you what you sent to them.
