New salary should be = or > "prevailing wage" in your LC. GC is for future job and ur employer promised in LC that they would pay you the salary mentioned for the position, which was > "prevailing wage" for that position (hence making sure you were not stealing an American's job by working for cheap). If there is a small difference, it should be ok. If there is a >25% difference, I would start looking for a new job with higher salary.
