okay my questions is:
how do I tie in my prevailing wage to my job description?

the flcdatacenter definitions of my job is not there (Design engineer) and the definitions/rules are too narrow so i dont really fit into any category.

I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, What I do is sheet metal products - design, development according to cusotmer specs, use 3d cad software, for a product line of Uninterrupted Power Supply Sotrage racks and cabinets (large, usually 150 inches tall, by 50 inches wide), create documentation, pdf files too.

anyone know how I can determine the prevailing wage? the guidelines as i said, are too narrow on flcdatacenter website.

anyone? need help asap, if you guys are aware

the only categories that fit is:

Mechanical Engineer 17-2141
Mechanical Engineering technician 17-3027

yep, its the same county, harris county in texas. (zip code of the company resides there).
however what I am checking is 'Mechanical Engineer' from flcdatacenter, but the job duties and responsibilites mentioned in that description is pretty narrow, and only points at 'Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Steam vessels.

Is there some kind of other list that exists that correspond to 'Mechanical Project Engineer' relating to its duties? mainly my job is to support oil field equipment, and recommend equipment to customers based on their requirments, by analysing existing market products or custom engineering existing products to fit their needs.

Lawyers, I am assuming, obtain the prevailing wage by submitting a PW request form to SWA, which in turn gets sent back and that wage is valid for a 30 day filing period? (at least thats what I thought I read)

thank you for your time

If you do not find your job description, then only way is get the prevailing wage directly from EDD/DOL. They have analyst, they give right wages.
no question asked about their wage determination.
