Salary adjustment while on a TN

I want to double check with wealth of knowledge here whether I am bound by the salary/compensation described in my TN application letter.

I know that the arrangments for compensation must be explicitly stated in the letter but what if I want a raise during my 3-year stay? Do I have to return to the border and reapply?
