Sad news: Mother passed away while in US

Hi

My mother was in USA since June 2003 on visitor (B2) visa. She also filed her extension for another six months, and the same is approved till June 2004. Last month she passed away in USA. Her funeral was performed in USA itself.
Pl. advise what needs to be done from INS perspective to update her records reflecting this.

If not inconvenient, can you throw some light on ways to get the extension of visitor visa? Since your mother had got an extension, please elaborate the documentation and procedures.
