It’s over. Finally got my GC approval.
Arrived in the USA 3 years ago. Started GC process on August 1999. Regular LC. Same employer all time.
RD 11/20/2000 ND 12/09/2000. Transferred to Newark, NJ local office on 10/12/2001. GC interview on 12/28/2001. Instead of Happy New Year gifts and GC after interview, got CIA check. And finally received GC approvals for me and my family yesterday. No joy, only feel tired. But after all, look at me after GC process:
1.I am not a terrorist or KGB agent (CIA checks and certified that)
2.I am not a domestic criminal (FBI check and certified that)
3.I never broke immigration rules (INS can confirm that)
4.I never shout on my wife and child anymore (my walls are very thin)
5.I don’t drink and smoke (you understand why)
6.I don’t play basketball after 8 PM anymore (once I did that, I was caught and fined, and now I must mention that in all my immigration papers, and I must mentioned that forever. I‘ll better watch TV)
7.I am not replacing an American workers (DOL certified that)
8.I don’t need salary increase (because my position and salary must be the same, like in LC)
But I cannot accept lower salary either (this is a big INS mistake, they should change this rule, it’s distort my godly image)
9.I love my employer (you understand why)
10.I don’t need any promotions (see #8)
11.I became an immigration guru. I know better what to do if my application got rejected, then what to do if server goes down.
12.When I am sending e-mail to technical support asking for additional paper for my printer, I always call my attorney and ask him “Will it harm or delay my application?” He usually answered: ‘Yes, it will”
13. I love to stay late at work (see #9)
14. I don’t have TB, AIDS or VD (INS approved doctor can confirm that)
15. I am paying all possible and impossible taxes. I am thinking about paying sales tax, when I am buying 50 cents book at the garage sale.
16.I hate weekends and holidays, because VSC is closed during those days.
You can add you own merits here …
And after all, they give me only GC. I have a feeling, that I deserve at least a Nobel prize or nimbus above my head and wings on my back.
And the main thing – it’s all over!!!!!!!!!!!!!…….. Or not????
