Running A Company With An Expired Employment Authorization

My employment authorization card (EAC) expired back in January just about two months
after creating my company. I was wondering if I was supposed to demolish my company
when my EAC expired roughly 3 months ago like some other people on this forum having
to quit their jobs (or take a leave of absence) when their EAC expired.
I haven't sold a single product as of today, so I can't say my company has been "running",
in fact nothing has been done expect for it being opened.
I plan to not sell anything until I add my spouse to the company and get my EAC renewed.
Please advise, thanks.

Owning a company is not illegal no matter what your status is. Working for the said company without proper authorization is.

Why dont you vote to have your spouse be the manager of the said company and have her make all the decisions.

Also depending on what your visa status is and how you're applying for AOS it might not be a big deal. If you're married to a US citizen even if you work illegally it will be forgiven.

Best way however is have your spouse be the manager/operator and you just be the owner with no work involved.
