RTD or Advance Parole??

Read the instructions on I-131 application for RTD

It clearly says:

"Refugee Travel Document - A refugee travel
document is issued to a person classified as a refugee or
asylee, or to a permanent resident who obtained such status
as a result of being a refugee or asylee in the United States.
Persons who hold such status must have a refugee travel
document to return to the United States after temporary
travel abroad unless he or she is in possession of a valid
advance parole document
. A refugee travel document is
issued by the CIS to implement Article 28 of the United
Nations Convention of July 28, 1951."

no

Page five of the current I-131 says in block F that an asylee who has NOT applied for adjustment of status CANNOT apply for advance parole, period.

This is the link: http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/files/I-131.pdf

If an adjustment application is pending, it would appears that an advance parole request is possible in theory, however, per information provided by the Hebrew Immigration Aid Society (one of the country's oldest refugee advocacy organizations), the former INS has concluded that an asylee who enters on advance parole loses MOST benefits associated with asylum.
If anyone knows that the CIS has changed its legal position on this matter, please advise.

So I too would join the request to stop spreading false rumors.

Get life

I wonder why I'm even replying to this?

As I said my wife travelled three times on AP and she didn't lose any of so called benefits. Recently we received unrestricted SSN cards, and did fingerprints in June.

As for you calling information that some of us provided based on our personal experiences false rumors, get life. I don't care if you are going to believe or not, it is your problem, but I wonder why are you so determined to convince others that we are spreading rumors.

"personal experiences"? I just won the Powerball lottery, anybody buying that??????

I have been writing on the basis of INS documents. The I-131 says in plain English that an asylee CANNOT obtain AP if an adjustment application is NOT pending. The INS/CIS asylum site also says that an asylee MUST have RTD to return to the United States.

You are the one who needs to get a real life and rather than spreading misinformation to strangers on the basis of your imaginations. Go and learn some basic immigration knowledge.

No realy, get life

Some people on this site are obviously determined to prevent real asylees from getting any useful information.

What you are writing on the basis of INS documents is as worthy as your english.

What ever your response to this post may be I'm not going to waste any more time on you because there are real asylees out there who need information and anyone can use information provided here and call USCIS and find out the truth thesmelves.

Yes they can also call you at home and act based on your "personal experiences". For example, they can apply for citizenship by counting the time they spent in asylum status (because the Government, in your imagination, silently changed its policy on something as serious as citizenship rules), which happens to be one of the most ridiculous messages you wrote not too long ago.

What you failed (and cannot rebut) to respond is the FACT that the I-131 says that an asylee without a pending I-485 cannot obtain advance parole. And the extensive section dealing with asylum amply states that a RTD is REQUIRED.
