hi guys,

I wrote recently a post (http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=216928)
in which I explained a bad experience at LAX with my RTDs being confiscated from me. Ever since, the LUDs in my portfolio, the ones related to RTDs I was previously issued and the one sent to me just a few days ago, have been changing almost daily. I am wondering if CIS is doing an investigation on me of some sort. I don't think there is anything to investigate but perhaps the fact that I never gave up original RTDs when I applied for new ones. I am thinking if I should go to my local CIS office and report myself on this one in order to possiby alleviate a problem which might arise in the future. would any of you guys please advise me?Should I ask for an advice from the law office hosting this foru? I feel very worried and a bit scared. Thanks, I appreciate it.

You need to tell people again the story or provide a link to it. Many people here do not have photographic memory.

ianyu,

You did not do anything illegal and you should not worry. Do not go and raise your hands as if you are guilty. Just see if they want anything. Its probably that they have gotten your old RTDs from the officer who took it and they have updated them on the computers.

And also you got a new RTD. You would'nt have gotten a new RTD if they had any suspiscion. Just relax.

Perhaps, perhaps not. I applied for and recieved a RTD in Dec 2005. When the GC was approved in 2006, the LUD for the RTD application changed at least 5 times (for both me and my wife).

Dont worry about it too much--chill out and make sure you give a single, consistent version to every one who might talk to you about this. Perhaps write it down so the facts are straight in your head.

Good luck.

Next time, stick with your "lost" story. It was "misplaced" and it was "found". Totally logical and you avoid that "misreprentation" on your RTD application accusation.

I had already received my RTD in march 2006 but I have noticed one more LUD on this alaready approved RTD on yesterday. So basically some one touched it after six months of its approval. I did not see any new LUD on other saved (already approved OR pending) cases in my profile.....Is it normal or is there something suspecious?

Please reply

Everytime you are issued a RTD or Rentry Permit, they go through your previous applications to make sure you still don't have a valid RTD. Last year, I got a RTD and the LUD changed for all my RTDs since 2000.

SO just chill. THey are doing what they are asked to do.

I think there is absolutely no need for you to be nervous for nothing. Everything seems fine with your case. If USCIS have any suspicion you wouldn't have received any benefit, not even your greencard. Just chill & go about your normal business. You are already blessed. LUD changes are normal. It is just USCIS internal processing.
