My timeline for RP...

Entered reactivated Visa Dec 07
Got GC Jan 07
In and out of US
Applied RP Jun 20 08 for 2 people. Sent Priority mail Requested Expedite Service for Bio
Got reciept Jun 23
Appt for Bio and photo July 8. Gave bio and left US.
Got RP 3 weeks later valid till Jul 10

Everything went pretty smooth. I thought it would take 6 - 8 months but
surprisingly was very quick service.

By the way..

asked to mail to my address. Will pick up next week. Have to fly back to US
 
The applications were sent by Priority Mail Large Envelope which you can ask at the Post Office. All I did was put a yellow sticky on each application saying "Please expediate Biometric" and on the front of the Priority Envelope wrote "EXPEDIATE". I dont know if all this made a difference or I was just lucky.

Also mailed 2 checks for $385. Copies of GC. Make sure the app is fully filled and signed. Dont miss out any relevant info.
 
My Category was Permanent Resident. I was not under AS category.

Reason was "Family Responsibility".
 
Is possible to schedule BIO appointment on an embassy abroad?
What if I wanna leave U.S. "immediately" and can't wait half month for appointment?
 
GC approved Employer problems

My background information

Company A filed my PERM/I-140/I-485. In the mean time I was employed by Company B on H1B. My PERM/I-140/I-485 filed by company A got approved so I got my GC

I joined Company A on full time basis but continued working working for company B on part time basis. It has been close to 2 months Company A is not doing well rumors are we are going to have layoff.

Question.

1- If Company A lays me off will I be in any trouble during citizenship.
2- If Company A lays me off and I join Company B back on full time basis will this cause any trouble during citizen process.
3- Would I be better off If company A lays me off, Should I look for Company C.
4- Is working with company B on part time basis safe while working for company A on full time basis.
