RP or RTD

Guys,

I am planning to travel in June 09 and wanted to know what document should I be filing for RP or RTD.

I was an Asylee and then became a PR. I had an RTD in 2006 which expired in 2007.

On the I-131 for application type which one should I be selecting

A - I am a PR and am applying for RP.

or

B - I am a PR as a direct result of Asylee status and I am applying for RTD.

Also will I require to send my expired RTD back and do I need to send photos if applying for RP?

Please advise

Thanks

Ed

i recommend you to apply for RP , its valid for 2 years

you should send the expired RTD with the application,
and you need to send 2 passport pictures with it

If your RTD is already expired, you don't have to send it back. Just write EXPIRED and you'll be fine. And, the only real advantage I can think of is that the RTD provides visa-free travel to Germany. Apart from that, it's the same as RP, just valid half as long.
