was a site called desiworld. dont if it still exists. try to get in touch with the local chapter of Indian professional network or netIP. they usually send mails with courtesy ads.

Another betterway....

Would be to keep small but visible paste-its with your Phone No/ Email address in local Indian Grocery Stores and/or Notice Boards in the near by Temples (of course with permission).

come on guys, she's looking for a room-mate. She didn't ask for a lot of emails/phone calls. That's the dumbest thing to do except if you are looking for lots of people to call you for everything else but to share a room.

I think the safest way is word of mouth.
