Hi, Guys,

This question is for my friend. His company has agreed to help him to start the GREEN Card applicaiton in the category of RIR. He has the following questions. Please help. Thanks.

1. On the form ETA 750A, Item 14. Experience. There are two boxes, one for "Job Offered" and the other for "related occupation". So if the employer put 2 year in the "job offered" and 3 year in "related occupation", does this mean that Minimum requirement is 2 years of work experience in the same job position plus 3 years of related work experience? or it means 2 years of work expericne in the same job position OR 3 years of related work experience.

2. For previous work experience, what kind of document need to be submited. Is the letter from his former colleague enough?

Combination of degree and experience, Master (2+ yr Exp) OR Bachlor (3+ Yr Exp).
Reference letter from previous employers for job description. Normally required to file with I140 stage NOT in RIR stage.
 
There was a previous thread which talked about this very issue, the default meaning is "OR" unless explicitly stated.

Experience letters should be from previous employer, if the previous employer has closed shop, you can use a letter from previous manager, failing which you can use a letter from one of your colleagues.
