RIR AD in IL

My company's running AD for my RIR LC in IL. The job is IT related. They've got 7 or 8 resumes for the first AD. I'm not sure yet how closely these responses match requirements.

Isn't this high? Could you guys share your experience?

My lawyer told me that both too few or too many resumes are bad things. But it varies based on skillset, experience and lawyer's ability to handle the case.

Thanks!

You bring up a good point, too few might be as bad as too many.

One more question, company HR decided to analyze the resumes at the end of the AD campaign (that is, 2.5 month from now), not as they recieve. Per them, it's easier this way. Is this a problem?

Why analyse after 2.5 months , are they going to keep gathering responses till then? my HR dept is going to collect responses for 30 days and then send the recruitment report to the lawyer and the onwards to DOL for filing.

what is the specification on how long to gather responses "in good faith"?

This is RIR case. The AD campaign takes 3 months overall. They want to wait untill the last (third) AD is published and then analyze resumes. The main idea being "it's easier to do it in a bunch". While I understand it being more convinient, it seems strange. Wouldn't DOL say, "Hey, look, this resume was received in August, why did you guys reviewd it in November?". Seems logical.

I guess thats the usual practice at most of the HR departments at established companies. :)
