Right time for H1 visa

Right now I am doing my master's in US and I m planning to graduate in December 2006 and I think I will start my OPT by January 2007 which will last up to December 2007 if evrything goes right. So I am requesting you to let me know that when should I start procedure for H1 visa filling. Coz if i completed with my OPT in December 2007 then I think I hav to wait up to nxt October 2007 for my h1 visa. so plz let me no.

You can apply Y 2008 quota of 20,000 (US MS) and start work from Dec 2007
