Hello Guys

I have been a silient visitor reading and admiring all your wonderful and informative posts.
But this time I have informtation to share and hence the post.
I checked my case status online and it said
"On October 9, 2003, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the notice, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283."

Well at least they are moving forward.

Quick question: I joined another company on Oct 1st and my new employeer will be giving me a EVL.
I don't know what the RFE is about as my lawyer has not recieved it yet, but I guess it will be for the usual W2/EVL/Paystub.
So should I wait till I get 3 recent paysubs form my new company or just reply with the current EVL.
Would there be any complication if I do that.
I would greatly appreciate your reply.

Since you are going to use AC21 EVL with one Paystub should suffice .

Make sure the AC21 letter is written properly though. Good luck, Atleast we know there is some activity in October

Hi Tasse, do u want the full number. I thought we refrain from giving the full WAC# on the forum :)

Tasse, the WAC# is already in my signature.
But anyway here it is WAC-02-041-5***

sjk1, thank you for posting. As for signature I don't know why, but I'm not able to see your signature

UPDATE: Option "Show user's signatures in their posts?" was turn off, I can see your signature now

I think general rule in responding to RFE should be (1) submit exactly what they ask for, like recent EVL, 3 most recent paystubs, etc., and (2) do not volunteer to submit anything else.
officers are just plain people who follow instructions.
So, wait for RFE letter and good luck :)

My recent experience tells me that the RFE is not something you should be worrying about. They are just the usual EVL,W-2, paystubs. In my case, it is just the latest EVL.I wish i should have not worried that much. Good luck as they have started on your application.

Thank you very much for all you replies.

noginoypi:
What do you mean by "in your case it was EVL" Does that mean if the EVL states the correct Job Desc. and salary as per LC, INS does not much care about the previous W2.
Thanks

When i got the RFE it is just for the EVL since it has been more than a year that CIS have not touch my application. I have prepared all the documents that i could think of and all they requested was the EVL.

Good for you. I hope they sent me a EVL RFE only. High hopes:)
Thanks for ur reply.

Recieved RFE Notice

Lawyer just faxed me the RFE notice. Asking for:

1. 4 recent paystubs
2. 3 years W2
3. 1040 form for 2001 and 2002 and
4. EVL from previous or current employer.

84 days from notice date to reply.

My god.......:(

Quick question Guys:

I did my FP in April 2002. Its 16 months past that. Shouldn't INS be sending me a 2nd FP notice. Instead they sent me an RFE
Is it possible that after they get my RFE reply they will send the 2nd FP adding to the delay :(
Thanks

It is very fast for fingerprint. As soon as you get the fingerprint notice, you can go to take it before the schedule date.
Good lucky,
