RFE issued on Nov 1,2001 for my wife(dependant). Spoke to IIO on Nov 16th since my attorney didn\'t receive the RFE. RFE resent on NOV 20 . But as of yesterday , RFE was not received by the attorney.
Is anyone in the same situation. Can you please share the experience.
IIO refused to say what the RFE is for.

You\'d just have to wait

Unfortunately, the only thing you can do for now is "WAIT". However if you do not receive the RFE till mid of December, you can call them again and ask them to send it by FedEx. For that you or your company should have a FedEx account number that you can give to an IIO and they would send the RFE by next day shipment. However, they do this only after waiting for a month after dispatching the first letter, which in your case was sent on Nov, 20th. Good Luck.
 
Since it\'s for both - it probably is for medical or biographic information

There are always exceptions (one dependent got a RFE for employment letter for primary, but primary was approved go figure!).

Manish, this seems to be a bug in the chat sw on this site

When I copy and paste a link to my article, it shows up as "Manish Gupta ".

I\'ve tried this a few times, it always shows the name of the first person to REPLY to the original post as the author in the link. Don\'t know how to get around it.
 
Don\'t wait. Contact INS asap.

My lawyer never received the RFEs (for me and my wife). I called 16 days after the RFEs were issued. I complained a lot about the postal service in Manhattan/NYC then VSC sent the RFEs again in three weeks. I ended in receiving four of them (two at my home address).

Don\'t be good kids.
 
Feb Case approved on Nov. 27 per AVM

Finally hear the magic words. My case was approved on Nov. 27, 2001 per AVM. Wife\'s AVM still the same. Not sure if she was also approved as my dependent. Messages for Both my and my wife\'s cases changed from Case not found to Case found on Nov.7, 2001. Check AVM once a day since that day. Following are my details.
