RFE without Job

Hi!

My friend lost his job 2 weeks ago and he just got an RFE. (Mar 18th - yesterday).

Is there a way his situation can be salvaged?

RFE is still in the mail but the INS website says that he was sent an RFE on 18th Mar.

His WAC:01-296-xxx

There are a window of about 84 day to reply to the RFE, I was in the same situation before, and my lawyer said if you could not find a job we will send affidavit that your actively looking for job, and they may consider this in this economic situation, but that was 8 months ago, I was lucky to find a job and respond to RFE.
Your friend better check with a good lawyer if could not find a job.

How did u reply to your RFE? Did u get same or similar job with same salary? What was the salary difference? Also, did u get new job in the same region(service center) ?
 
Yes the job is the same, salary is little less, and it is CSC area.
INS got my RFE on Nov. 2002 and I am still waiting
