Correction to my RFE

Regarding our RFEs, they were initially issued on 09/28 but have never arrived in NYC. I had to call again on 10/19. INS re-issued the RFEs on 11/08 to my NJ home address. I will call in a week to check if INS receives our reply.

BTW, regarding I-797 and I-797(A/C), they are all the same. I am crossing my fingers.

RFE received

My Lawyer just received the RFE. It was sent out on 11/14, and received on 11/20 by the Lawyer. They have asked for current employment letter and job description, and also last 3 paystubs.
 
How much time it should take for 485 approval after RFE ?

I had received a RFE (paystubs, emp letter, W-2) on my 485 in September. ( I-485: RD-8/18/2000; ND-10/17/2000; EB2; Non-RIR )

My attorney had sent out the response to the RFE. The INS-AVM says that they received the response to the RFE on sep-25-2001 and Normally it takes 365-540 days to process this kind of case but because preliminary processing was already done in my case, the estimated remaining time in my case is only 540 days.

No approvals yet.

My EAD in expiring in couple of weeks. What should I do now ?

I am in the same boat

RD: 9/2000 ND: 10/13/2000 Ref issued in last week of Aug, Lawyer replied in Sep 1st week. INS received on 9/18/2001. Getting the same message like ajitkrsingh . Called INS twice, both the times they said its with the officer and have all documents. Don\'t know whats happening

Ajitkrsingh,
  seeing the recent RFE approval pattern, you should be able to get your approval, with in next 2-4 weeks. Again, the holidays season is coming up, so we may not be able to predict it correctly.

  So, I would say, it is nice if you get the approval as expected. But it is best that you prepare for worst always. So, go ahead and apply for EAD renewal with out any delay ...
 
haven\'t u guys, waiting for approval, heard anything about contacting ur local senator..

My case was approved in a week after receipt by INS when my senator\'s (a nice one, John Edwards) office called INS.
Do everything u can. Don\'t just sit there and pray.
 
Another RFE

Issued 9/06/01, replied 10/10/01,
receipt acknowledged on the AVM -- 10/22/01,
no response so far.

RFE was for the medical.
My PD is 02/96 !

I had talked to the IIO she says that "If I were you, I would not apply for the EAD. I would give your 485 another week or so."

My attorney says "It would take 90 days for EAD approval"

Anyway I am going to apply for my EAD on Monday.

You are right the Holiday season and 9/11 has hit everybody. MY GC is going on since 12/1996. A few weeks doesn\'t matter anymore.

How to get the Senator to Call

Can you tell everybody how to ask the Senator to call INS ?

Do they have to call the same 802-527-4913 !@#$! number ?
