my lawyer got the RFE on 485, he said "It asks for your earnings statements for the last 3 years and an updated job letter", so I did not give them my tax return. I heard that people normally have RFE for "letter, pay stubs, w2 and tax return".

Was my lawyer miss something?? Please help.

Some help here please.....

My lawyer screwed up my LC before. I don't want to be in trouble again. Any one has RFE like mine?

mine was something like EVL, last 6 pay-periods. So i send them about 18 pay periods (about 9 months) and W2 for the previous year. I know it is a bit too much of information. Its better to send everything you have to prove than nothing at all and get screwed by it.

What's the problem here? USCIS asked for an EVL and W-2s, and you submitted an EVL and W-2s. If they wanted to see your tax returns, they'd have asked for them.

Unless they specifically asked for something, why bother sending it? In fact, I think extra information may put someone in trouble. I got an RFE in Nov 2004 asking for EVL, 2 years W-2s AND Tax returns, and last 2 months paystubs. I had to send it all obviously ...
