RFE RFE RFE, am I the only one left?

RFE issued 4/24/01 for a simple updated employment letter
RFE replyed: 5/07/01
RFE received (AVM update): 5/14/01

Today is exactly one month past, still no approval!!
simple case, no job change, no field change,even no salary change,
why does it take so long?
Anyone in the same boat?

Am I the longest waiter AFTER RFE?

  Dont worry. There are a lot of people in the same boat. I have replied on April 18th for a RFE regarding bio-graphic info and haven\'t heard from VSC yet.

Count me in. VSC received rfe on April 25th(AVM).
And still nothing. My case is also a simply case,
no nothing execpt salary hike. :). You should call
them. Ananth Ganesh, you should call them right away.
It took me three calls before somebody finally picked up
my case from the shelf and put to the process unit.

Called IIO twice, always the same standard answer:
case pending, with an officer, need 4-6 weeks to process.

Hi Guys:

  Finally I had my lawyer talk to the IIO and they mentioned that since my spouse\'s I-140 was also approved (but never filed for
485 we have the finger printing already done) they kept the application pending not knowing which I-485 we would want to proceed
with. Now we have that resolved and the case is being seen by an officer. This information might help for married people who
file GC through 2 different companies. Sometimes we do things hoping for the best and it just gets delayed by another 4 months
because of that.

Can you tell some more details on updated EMP Letter. I got an RFE for employment letter. My employer sent one EMP letter to my lawyer and he sent it after 4 weeks to INS. I mean Emp letter dated 4 Week old when he set to INS. I am really afraid INS will ask again to send most recent Emp letter. But I gave my most recent pay stub along with that RFE.

4 Weeks old Employment letter should be OK.
My previous EMP Letter was sent together with I485 years ago.

RFE is standard: position, date of hire, salary and prospect for future emplyment.
