RFE response sent 12/18/02 - AVM still not updated

sent reply to RFE for I-485 on 12/18/02 via UPS overnight, the message is still not updated. says, on oct xx, we sent a request for evidence etc...

is there a problem with receiving mails at the INS? - kind of worried as my deadline for RFE submission is in another 2 weeks.

If you have sent the rfe response through UPS, you should be able to track your package online by entering the receipt number / or calling UPS.

Due to holidays on 24th (half-day), 25th (Christmas), the packet might have reached but may not have been updated on their system.

Try calling IIO, if you are unsure if the packet is received by INS

AVM updated today - says RFE docs. received

just checked the AVM and it says that the documents for the RFE was received today. however, online case status gives the old message. looks like there is a time lag between the two.

also, it says 450-480 days for processing, as preliminary processing is done, it will be done in 480 days - whatever that means!

anyway, the file is in their hands now - let's see how long for approval.

others please post your RFE details for us to track the processing speed.
