Hi folks,

Just checked AVM- it is updated with the receipt of my RFE reply sent on May 11th.

The message is "On August 15th, we recd the response to our request for additional info. It is taking between 975 days and 999 days to process such cases. Since preliminary processing was complete when we requested additional info, it is taking approx 999 days to process such case"

So, Early-May-RFE-Reply-Gang, check your case status- may be CSC found your RFE response also today in the mailroom.

Mine still says April $$, we sent a notice...

Ravi, Looks like maximum 4-5 weeks and you are through...

First Good news in last 6 months

Ravi, I feel good for you...
If you were in CBSE board in India, there was a story "God sees but waits"
Well, in US INS sees but waits!!!!(God knows for what)

Can you tell me on what date INS received your packet...was it on May 11th or May 10th

No Title

Rajesh08,

I surely remember my student life in India- it was heck a fun :-)

I sent RFE reply on May 11 (Friday) via USPS express mail and it reached CSC next day i.e. May 12th i.e. Saturday (yes, Saturday).

In last couple of months, I always thought that since it reached on Saturday, it might have been misplaced.

I don\'t know if contacting congresswoman did any help. I did contact Ellen Tauscher\'s office in Walnut Creek on Aug 3rd (that was my deadline of 90 days for RFE response which was issued on May 3; I was just trying to have enough docs that I sent the reply). I sent following to her office via fax:

1. 485 receipt
2. RFE copy (all pages)
3. USPS Express Mail Delivery record (which I had printed from USPS.com)
4. A letter from my employer seeking assistance of congresswoman. (though this is not needed as they want to hear from constituent directly)
5. Immigration help form (downloaded from Ellen Tausher\'s website)

They promply sent a letter to INS on Aug 6th, Monday. I also received a copy of that letter on Aug 7th.

You may want to contact local congressman. To find out who your local congressman is, go to house.gov and there is link where you can enter your zip code and it will tell you who is your congressman.

Hope that helps.

Ravi
